Toby Love is one of the torchbearers for modern bachata music, uniquely combining the old Caribbean
folk genre with Hip Hop, Pop, and R&B. Singing in both Spanish and English, Love embarked on his own after getting his start as back-up singer/dancer for the mega-successful bachata boy band, Aventura. On his own, Love has helmed hits including “Llorar Lloviendo” and “Tengo Un Amor,” for which he won Latin Billboard Awards for Tropical Airplay Song of the Year in 2007. Love also won the Latin Bilboard Award’s Latin Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year for his self-titled debut album.

LD: How old were you when you started getting involved in music?
Jasmine: My love for music started growing in my heart when I was 3 years old. When we moved to Michigan, I began singing in the RezKidz Choir at Resurrection Life Church and then went to the Youth Worship. Few Years later, I started recording my first album “Limpiame Con Tu Vida”.
LD: Tell us more about your typical day
My typical day pretty much consists of going to school in the morning afterwards either going to rehearsals, appointments, vocal practices, going to sing at church service, recording at the studio, or just sitting down on the piano playing and writing music.

In this world the majority of us love bigness and power. We think about buying the latest car of the year, and the most expensive one. A big house with many different rooms. God is capable of doing big things. He was able to part the Red Sea. He created the universe in less than a week. But He also used a small army to defeat the Midianites and fed a multitud with only a few pieces of bread and a few fishes.
Don’t meassure your success by how many different material things you own or by how much money you have. God doesnt care how big or powerful you are or how much money you have. He only cares about your life and the small and faithful steps you take towards Him.
